First American edition, first printing with full number line (10987654321) on the copyright page, bound after the contents pages. Hardcover, 26.5 x 21.8 cm, 164 unnumbered pages. Publisher’s grey thick cardboard covers lettered in white on the spine in the dustjacket lettered in white on a grey background and featuring on the front and back panels the same pictures by Manu Larcenet as the first French edition. The back panel features praise for The Road by Bill Sienkiewicz, Publishers Weekly, and the San Francisco Chronicle. The front flap mentions the price “U.S. $26.99 / Can. $33.99 /U.K. £18.99”.

CONDITION: a fine copy.

Published on September 17, 2024, at $26.99, in a first print of 40,000 copies.


This first American edition was preceded by over five moths by the first French edition. It was printed in a smaller format and in a dustjacket, and distributed in the United Kingdom as well. 

REPRINTS: as of February 2025, the book has gone into three additional printings.
